What “cross-platform” means
A cross-platform app is written once and released on both Android and iOS. We build with Flutter, which compiles that single codebase into native apps for each platform, so both stores get the same features at the same time.
Where it fits well
- You need the app on both Android and iOS from day one.
- The app is mostly screens, forms, lists, payments and notifications: the everyday work of most business apps.
- You want one team to maintain one product, rather than two apps that drift apart.
If an app depends heavily on one platform’s newest hardware features, it’s worth discussing those parts specifically during scoping.
One set of data for app and website
Most business apps are a second front door to the same business. Your website, admin panel and app should read and write the same data through the same API, so a customer’s order, booking or account looks the same everywhere.
That’s why we design the API alongside the app: it serves the website and the app alike.
From design to the stores
- Screens and user flows designed for small screens and approved by you.
- Regular test builds as features land.
- Store listings prepared, and the Play Store and App Store submissions handled.
- Updates after launch as your users ask for them.
Key points
- One Flutter codebase ships to Android and iOS together.
- It suits the everyday screens, forms and payments of most business apps.
- App and website should share one API and one set of data.
- Store release and post-launch updates are part of the job.
