What a staging link is
A staging site is a private copy of your project that lives on its own address, hidden from search engines. It’s where we build and test before anything goes live, and it’s where you can watch the work take shape.
We share the link early, as soon as there’s something to see, and keep it updated as we go.
Why it’s better than a progress report
- You see the real thing on your own phone and laptop, not a screenshot.
- Feedback is specific: “this button on this page”, not “the design feels off”.
- Problems surface early, when they’re cheap to fix.
- There are no surprises on launch day, because you’ve already used the site.
How it fits our four steps
Our process has four steps (Discover, Design, Build, Launch & grow), and you sign off on each before we move on. The staging link is where the Build step happens in the open: each round of work lands there, and you review it in place.
What to check when you open it
- Does each page say what it should, in words your customers use?
- Can you find the main action (call, enquire, buy) within a few seconds?
- Do forms, menus and buttons work on your phone?
- Is anything missing that you expected to see?
Send notes as you go. Small, frequent feedback keeps the project moving far better than one long list at the end.
From staging to live
When you approve the build, we move it to your live address, run the launch checks (redirects, search settings, analytics) and keep the staging copy for future changes. Updates after launch are tested there first, too.
